Photos display this Ring artistically sculptured as Egyptian design according to Egyptian motifs from the book: "Die Juwelen der Pharaonen - Ägyptischer Schmuck der dynastischen Zeit" by Cyril Aldred. We made this ring as Engagement Ring in 18ct Yellow Gold featuring a 0.3ct Diamond in Brilliant cut symbolizing a Lotus Flower Symbol, Isis Wings, the Sundial and Water with a Sterling Silver fitted Wedding Ring. Initially we started these rings carved out of wax.
In some of the photos you can see this gemstone ring in Egyptian Style in 925 Ag Sterling Silver featuring a black Onyx Cabochon or a faceted, synthetic, Alexandrite, changing colour from the red to the blue spectrum of purple.

History and believes in Ancient Egypt: Jewels, as any piece can be called, which was designed to decorate a person, could have been worn for different reasons. In ancient Egypt they probably were originally and predominantly used as amulet or talisman to offer protection for its wearer against secret enemy powers. They could be manifested against actual dangerous animals like crocodiles, snakes, scorpions.... They could also be used for invisible dangers like diseases, accidents and natural catastrophes like floods, storms and droughts. Magical items were attached to wrists, ankles, neck, waist and other sensitive areas. A Talisman could be made from gemstones, e.g. Carnelian, Turquois or Lapislazuli, which represent life – or blood colours and the fresh Green of fresh vegetation or the blue of the water and the holy skies.
Gold was also counted to those magical substances, found at first as glittering pebbles in river beds, found to be re-workable with tools into beads and shapes, which never loose its glow, but seem to have captured the fire and luminescence of the sunshine.
