This ring can be presented as a
love ring, friendship ring, engagement ring or partner ring. The design for the
clasped hand ring is based on:
‘Everyday Jewellery’ of the 13th century from ‘The Fuchsenhof Hoard’ (buried 1275-1278), now in the Landesmuseum Oberösterreich. This design may be older as it is difficult to exactly date rings because of lack of examples and strong wear marks.
From Antiquity to 19th century, predominantly during the 11th, 12th and 13th century similar rings were worn by men and women in Central Europe and Western Europe, Italy.
Archaeologists have identified rings with intertwined hands as engagement or wedding rings symbolising the handshake contract or promise of marital faithfulness.

Normally we resize our silver rings free of charge, but for this ring we need to charge $25 for enlarging as the hand-engraving needs to be redone. You can get your ring size checked at any local jewellery shop.
Jewellery items can be made on request in different materials, e.g.: 9ct, 14ct or 18ct Yellow Gold, White Gold, Rose Gold or Palladium. We prefer to use Palladium White Gold instead of Nickel White Gold Alloys as they are known to cause allergies. Palladium is an expensive heavy metal, so Palladium White Gold is denser and heavier. It is more difficult to process as the melting temperatures are substantially higher. Therefore jewellery in palladium white gold is more expensive than identical pieces in nickel white gold. A White Gold Ouroboros Ring cannot be tarnished black like Silver.
The blackened silver is achieved by oxidizing with alkaline sulphides and highlights added afterwards with a handmade polishing steel. materials we use
