Before use  please rinse drinking horns in warm water with dishwashing liquid.
Avoid chemicals, abrasive cleaning materials, strong detergents, microwave or dishwasher, campfire, the sun & hot beverages or food.

Our highly polished cow horns are inside coated with food grade resin to avoid any residue building up and that a bottle brush can reach down, if necessary. Even water tastes nice from them. Occasionally wiping with vegetable oil helps prevent the horn from drying out.
Oils with little or no taste: safflower oil or grape seed oil.

Translation of Our German supplier's statement (original below):

    "About our Products:

Our Horn products derive mostly from Africa and Southamerica. The animals, where the horns come from, do not come under the Washington Endangered Species Act and were meant for the abattoir. The horns are a by-product of meat production.

Besides the horns are checked by vets and a contamination with BSE (Mad cow disease) or foot & mouth disease are completely excluded.
All our horn products are from natural horn and hygienically cleaned with chemicals. Drinking horns are manufactured in our workshop in Germany and in addition inside coated with food-grade resin.
Our horn products are pure natural products, which have been processed by hand only.
Certain variation in appearance are completely natural and cannot be prevented. The colours can range from very light to very dark."
