Designed  for Professional Jewellery Manufacture and repair, electronic industries, hobby, craft, plumbing, refrigeration & glasswork

Hot enough to alloy gold or silver.

This versatile and reliable handheld Propane - Butane blowpipe is designed for professional jewelers, suitable for very fine soldering, brazing, annealing & melting. If used with MAPP / Razor gas it produces even higher temperatures.

An extra hot oxygen assisted flame, as the micro welding torch offers, is only necessary for welding applications, melting palladium or platinum, alloying palladium - white gold and brazing large steel objects. The Precision LPGas Torch features a precise flame with fine control.

Remarkable  Long Life due to high pressure hoses and well known German  quality workmanship. Its hand piece is almost identical to the micro welding torch and weighs only 105g!

Precision LP Gas Jeweller's Torch - Advantages

  • Less likely to overheat metals resulting in evaporation (health hazard), or burn diamonds in repair work, compared to Acetylene or Oxygen assisted flames

  • Hot enough for melting and alloying of silver and gold.

  • Precise, steady flame for soldering.

  • Due to the precise positioning of air suction holes around tip   it is possible to anneal large areas with ease in a short time with the large rosebud tip No. 3.

  • Easy to use, widely sold to colleges in Germany and Australia & teachers for gold and silver smithing

  • Has proven to be reliable and robust in the hands of students.

  • More than 10,000 jeweler's torches sold alone in Germany.

  • We ship to USA & Canada.

Small & medium torch tips come with the torch. The large rosebud tip No. 3 can be ordered separately for melting or large bangles, belt buckles and the like.

Model No. 44 uses less gas, as it is only lit when needed and does not require a pilot flame. Turning the red valve between thumb and forefinger ensures a precise adjustable flame-size.

German Precision lpgas torch, jewellers Torch, soldering torch, LP Gas Torch, Propane Torch, propane butane torch, blowtorchNo 44a includes a 'Fast release pressure knob' controlled by the pressure exerted with the thumb on the knob, which is useful for quick annealing jobs bypassing the red valve.

Regulators and fittings vary according to each country sometimes depending on the size of the gas cylinder.

We also offer different regulators. The Australian manufacturer ngp adapts regulators to our specifications to allow the torch to work to its maximum capacity of 600KPa

 REGULATORS  for LP Gas Torch

When you buy a new gas cylinder & regulator, take the torch along to make sure it matches. In case the torch does not fit your existing LPGas Cylinder regulator, please take it to your nearest gas supplier to get a correct nut fitted or an adaptor or contact us.

Safety:

  • According to German Safety Standard DIN - DVGW the use of a regulator is required. We recommend the use of a regulator to comply with requirements of safety authorities & insurances in your country and as gas saving device as you don't always need the full pressure. For US customers with gas usage restrictions, this torch operates with excellent results through full range of performance on disposable propane canisters and 0-60 PSI regulator.

  • Rubber seal on gooseneck

  • Strong safety hose

  • Easy maintenance

  • Long-lasting robust parts

Gas usage of the Precision LP Gas Torch is:

For largest Tip No. 3:          90 litres per hour

The Precision LP Gas Jewelers Torch  can achieve 1225°C = 2237°F with Propane-Butane Gas,

with Razor / MAPP Gas even higher temperatures.

(In the material safety data sheet for Liquefied Petroleum Gas the maximum flame temperature for Propane Gas is stated at 1970°C = 3578°F, for Butane Gas 1990°C = 3614°F at a set pressure of 101 KPa & 15°C)

One year full warranty

How to set up and operate your Precision LP Gas Torch:

Fuel fittings are left-threaded and tighten to the left. They are standard-marked with a groove on the screw nut. We offer the torch with 3/8" BSP LH = A-fitting or 9/16"18LH= B-fitting (more common in USA) or 5/8" - 18LH if required for some Australian regulators.

  • Just connect with a spanner to a regulator, which should be at a distance of at least 1m to the torch, and set the pressure between 200KPa-600 KPA (=2-6bar = 58 - 87 PSI).

  • Tightly screw on the required rosebud tip.

  • Check for leaks by applying water with dishwashing liquid in it around all connections and start working:

  • Open the main gas bottle valve slowly, the red screw valve slightly and ignite in front of tip, pointing away from any flammable objects.

  • Regulate flame size by turning the red valve

Model 44a: adjust pilot flame with the red valve or quickly release full pressure for maximum flame size by pressing the brass knob.

Before leaving the workshop shut the valves of torch and gas bottle. Purge all fuel and oxygen lines after daily use to ensure no gas remains in the torch system.

When setting up tank and torch systems or when changing tanks, always check all connections for any possible leaks with soapy water.                     Top of page
